Misinformation and Mission | Acts 21:17-36

This powerful message takes us into Acts 21, where we witness the Apostle Paul returning to Jerusalem amid swirling controversy and dangerous misinformation. The text confronts us with a timeless question: what do we do when we don't know what to do? Paul faces opposition both inside and outside the church, accused of teachings he never promoted, yet he responds with remarkable humility and wisdom. Inside the church, he makes personal sacrifices for unity, taking a Nazarite vow not because he needs ritual purification, but because preserving unity in the body of Christ matters more than his personal preferences. This challenges us profoundly: what freedoms are we willing to surrender for the sake of the gospel? Whether it's worship styles, traditions, or personal preferences, are we willing to become all things to all people that we might save some? Outside the church, Paul faces violent opposition, yet his suffering serves a greater purpose. The message reminds us that God never wastes our suffering. Every trial we endure is producing an eternal weight of glory, refining our character, deepening our relationships, and making us more like Christ. In a world where everyone wants their own way, where misinformation spreads faster than truth, we're called to engage in genuine dialogue, build authentic relationships with unbelievers, and stand firm in our faith regardless of opposition. The work is worth the suffering.
