Music Worship Ministry

Celebration Worship Team

We are blessed with a great worship team here at Celebration Church!  They lead us in deep and meaningful worship every Sunday.  We aim to have our worship music pure and holy before the Lord – not focused on us or performance, but on glorifying God and the Gospel.  The heart of worship music goes so much deeper than personal preference; it’s a special way to connect with our Father and just adore Him.
There are numerous worship styles within the Christian sphere, but instead of trying to decide between the trends around us, we want to look to God’s Word for guidance and wisdom.  What does the Bible have to say on worship music?  Quite a lot, actually!  Here’s a few Scriptures to consider:
Psalm 150 (ESV) – Praise the Lord!  Praise God in His sanctuary; praise Him in His mighty heavens!  Praise Him for His mighty deeds; praise Him according to His excellent greatness!  Praise Him with trumpet sound; praise Him with lute and harp!  Praise Him with tambourine and dance; praise Him with strings and pipe!  Praise Him with sounding cymbals; praise Him with loud clashing cymbals!  Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!  Praise the Lord!
Ephesians 5:19 (ESV) – Addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart,
Psalm 146: 1-2 (ESV) – Praise the Lord!  Praise the Lord, O my soul!  I will praise the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being. Psalm 95: 6 (ESV) – Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker!
As you can see, God wants us to sing praises to Him with instruments, our voices and our whole hearts.  He is worthy to be praised in every way, and that is our goal at Celebration.  Please join us here every Sunday morning as we “Make a joyful noise unto the Lord”!
