Daniel 11:36-45 takes us on a profound journey into prophetic revelation, revealing both the darkness that awaits and the triumph that follows. This passage introduces us to a future figure known as the Antichrist, a man who will exalt himself above every god and wage war against the God of gods. What makes this passage particularly striking is its reminder that we are living in the gap between fulfilled prophecy and future events. The first 35 verses of Daniel 11 contain 135 fulfilled prophecies, proving God's faithfulness and reliability. Now we stand in the in-between time, waiting for what comes next. The passage reveals that evil will seem to prosper for a season, that the Antichrist will create his own religion with himself at the center, and that a great battle will unfold in Israel. Yet the most powerful truth emerges in the final verse: this evil king will come to his end with none to help him. No matter how dark the days become, no matter how powerful evil appears, Christ will ultimately reign supreme. This passage calls us away from doomsday thinking and fear, reminding us that our worst-case scenario is eternity with Jesus. We are invited to live not in fear of what is coming, but in confident hope of who is coming: the King of Kings riding on the clouds to destroy all evil and establish His eternal kingdom.
